Hi there, I'm an osteopath based in the Northern Rivers with a special interest in treating head, neck and jaw disorders. After completing a Masters of Osteopathy in New Zealand, I worked in busy practices in Auckland and Melbourne and have been practicing in the Northern Rivers since 2020. Osteopathic treatment can be beneficial for a large variety of conditions and complaints all over the body. Over my career I have developed an interest in treating the head, neck and jaw and have undertaken additional training to provide the highest quality treatments for issues relating to these areas.

My method involves a thorough case history and full musculoskeletal assessment (as an osteopath, we look at the interconnectedness of the body even if the complaint is specific to one area). Physical examination may also include blood pressure reading, neurological examination, cranial nerve testing, and balance/proprioception assessment.

 

Treatment is individualised to the person and will often involve osteopathic techniques such as joint mobilisation, soft tissue manipulation and stretching, neurodynamic techniques, myofascial release and cranial techniques. During the consultation you can expect to be given a diagnosis, information on how you can manage the complaint, and have a discussion on how you want to go forward.
