What is osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a drug-free healthcare practice that aims to improve function of the human body by influencing the musculoskeletal and nervous systems through hands-on techniques, exercise prescription and lifestyle modifications. Osteopaths spend up to five years studying to develop their skills and use their knowledge of anatomy and physiology to investigate and treat the cause of your problem.
Osteopaths understand that the body is a unit comprised of many moving parts, and that when one part is not performing its function it could cause symptoms further up or down the chain. This is why we aim to treat more than your symptoms - we perform a thorough examination of your joints, muscles and nervous system to look at the bigger picture.
Osteopathy is suitable for people of all ages and activity levels. From stay-at-home parents to elite athletes (and everything in-between) osteopathic treatment can improve your physical and mental well-being.
